Community Clean Up

Residents’ Association community clean-up day, after the carport sales. All those who have anything left over that they don't want will have a 40-yard dumpster available by the gym. Kids are naturally empathic and curious about the wildlife in their environment, especially when a lost or injured critter is involved. Guest speaker Erika Hoffman, Wildlife Rehabilitation Associate at San Diego Humane Society's "Project Wildlife," will talk about ways to co-exist with wild animals using safe and respectful behaviorand habitat, at the Nature Center, 7380 Gabbiano Dr, Carlsbad, and provide tips for helping to protect them. Stepping into autumn, join us for a 60-minute docent-led nature walk focusing on the spiders and tarantulas of Batiquitos. Rise above your fear of these creepy creatures by learning about their ecological importance, unique physiology, and incredible survival adaptations.
